Known by Heart (“Junk”) Duet by Twyla Tharp was powerful and fun performed by Gillian Murphy (amazing legs and pointe work) and Blaine Hoven.
It was the first time I have seen Duo Concertant by George Balanchine and Misty Copeland nailed every movement and her musicality was enviable.
Finally, Everything Doesn’t Happen At Once by Benjamin Millepied changed my mind about his choreography after seeing his work in the film Black Swan. I was glad to see how he handles the contemporary ballet movement vocabulary and he is definitely on my watch list for the future. Last but not least, Marcelo Gomes… “Brilliant!”
