I will start by saying as most of you know that William Forsythe is by far one of my favourite choreographers.  Therefore; I was quite excited to see this piece that surprised and/or annoyed quite a few members of the audience.  Although I am more of a fan of his earlier neoclassical and post modern ballet work; I have to admit that his evolving creativity does not fail to surprise and inspire me.  This theatrical piece is the weirdest and most humorous piece I have personally experienced of his choreographic work so far.  In addition, The Company and Dana Caspersen in particular delivered a great performance.

Join me next time as I attend the Sylvie Guillem: 6000 miles away and La La La Human Steps performances at Saddler's Wells this September.

See you soon!

I counted 5 people walking out, but they didn't seem like the kind of people that would enjoy this kind of thing. Very different, but good. I liked the use of Gloria Gaynor's "At first I was afraid I was petrified" lyrics as part of the performance.
